Art has always been part of my life. My dad introduced me to it, and my mum inspired me to keep going.

I often wonder if I would still be here without the encouragement of my parents, teachers, family, and friends. Art shaped who I became.

Without it—who would I be?

In school, I was always in the Art Room, and if I was in my normal classes, I would be scribbling down the sides of my books or worksheets - I even remember finishing my art exam early so I spent the rest of the time drawing down the side of the exam paperwork (not surprisingly, I did not pass that exam)

 

From 2011-2017 lived in beautiful Exmouth WA. I was inspired by the wonderful sights, landscapes and animals of Exmouth and that is where I did an art course, submitted drawings in art competitions, started tattooing (though I don't do much of that anymore) and where I did a few commissions of 4"x4" native Tasmanian animals for my parents market stall in Launceston,

In 2017, I moved down south to the small country town of Dumbleyung, where I live with my now husband, in our home with out beautiful Pembroke Corgi together, Missy.

In 2023, I created Krissy AP Designs and I feel inspired everyday to create.

 

I have tried everything from painting, drawings, craft, charcoal, fabrics, etching, photography, scrapbooking, journaling, collaging and even the occasional tattoo - but I didn't look to art as being a business opportunity, I've always done it just for the love of doing it.

My latest passion is doing nail art and painting family pets for friends and family. I made my own fascinator for Melbourne Cup out of Export Emu beer cans, as well as 15 hairclips from recycled drink cans for a "Art Swap-Meet". Also each year, I facepaint at the local community Christmas fair and festival.
